Halfway to Nowhere

Well, I am about 1/2 way finished with my mock cycle. I had my lining check yesterday and my lining looked "beautiful!" I did not ask for measurements, because I figured why worry about something that does not matter anyway? I get to cut back my Est.race to 2x per day and I started Endo.metrin 3x per day this morning. Lucky me!

Although the mock cycle is easy and boring, I am not really a happy camper. The estrogen put the whammy on my sex drive in a major way and we all know how very romantic progesterone suppositories are to top it all off. Sigh... poor Sean. Poor me.

My endometrial biopsy is scheduled for next Friday the 13th. Looks like Valentine's Day weekend is going to be filled with romance. Sigh...

I stop all meds on 2/15 and call with a period. I can start FET right away pending results and we are leaning towards doing that.

I am down 10.4 lbs since the New Year and going strong. Losing about 1lb. per week for the last few weeks. I am hoping the meds don't blow me up like a balloon though. Sean is down almost 10 as well. I love cooking and am always looking for more healthy recipes!

We are new/used SUV shopping and it is maddening. I will spare you the details, but after spending Friday, Sat and Sun test driving trucks, I think we are getting closer to making a decision. We are terrible at making big decisions like this. We have a tendency to over think, over analyze and over plan things. Hopefully this weekend we will be the proud new owners of an SUV!

We are also making some headway on our "big life change" plans that I mentioned recently. I will unveil the plan soon. Thank you all for your well wishes and support!

I think everything releated to IF is a killer to the sex drive, ironic huh? Congrats on the weight! My husband and I are the exact opposite on buying vehicles, we rush right into it and then are usually unhappy with the purchase. Hope you make the right choice. Looking forward to hearing the big news. Take care!

Wow - congrats on the weight loss - that is amazing, particularly so while in the midst of infertility treatments. Glad too that things are going well with your mock cycle, altho sorry to hear that the estrogen and progesterone are hindering romance.

My husband and I just finished IVF #2 and it was also unsuccessful! This begins to get even more stressful as time draws on! Thinking of you and feeling what you are going through.

10+ pounds, while taking all of these drugs, is unbelievably wonderful!! Good for you, my dear!

Sounds like things are moving along. Poor Sean, but, he'll deal with it - wat choice does he have, lol!

I hope your mock cycle goes well and you can start your FET soon. You're such a tease with our big news. . .:)

My DH and I haven't had sex since early Decemeber. Between stim meds and all my pregnancy spotting, sex is a no go. I guess we can make up for it later.

Go you, losing 10 lbs!! You're a rockstar, Emily!

Have sex. Even if you don't really feel like it. Please -- do it for those of us who can't. :)

Edge of my seat -- literally-- to hear the life plan!

Loved reading your most recent posts. Similar situation here (male factor), but then again, it seems that I have so much in common with so many women out there. Who knew?
Best wishes with the FET!

Woohoo on the 10 pounds... you go girl!! I just started my weight-loss process too... hopefully it goes somewhere.
I hate car shopping. Too much money involved + too many choices = very very tiring! Good Luck!

Congrats on the 10 lbs! That's great!

I think maybe you're onto something with your perspective on this mock cycle - maybe I should apply those rules to my IVF cycle: just go through the whole thing with no knowledge of follicles, lining, levels - and just see what happens. Ha.

Thinking of you -

Humph. I am sorry that your mock cycle is getting in the way of making valentine's day as romantic as it should be...

Great work on the weight loss, I too am worried that the next cycle will throw me back a few steps to getting to my goal, but, I'd rather be a little heavier and pregnant than skinny and not!

Can't wait to hear about your "big news" and hope you found a new car that you really like.

Hi Emily - thanks for your comment on my friendship holiday situation. Could you direct me to the post you wrote about this a few months ago? I'd like to read it.

Hope you're doing well - think of you often!

Yippeeee for a beautiful lining. It feels good to have some positive news and also something to distract you (SUV buying). You are halfway to somewhere, not nowhere.
